Here’s what a typical weekday looks like for Amanda L.
5:00 AM Wake up, shower, and coffee!
6:00 AM Pack lunches, walk the dog, and breakfast for my daughter.
6:30 AM Out the door and into the car.
7:00 AM Drop my daughter off at school and drive to my clinical rotation site.
7:30 AM – 5 PM Time to see patients! Depending on the rotation, my day may go past 5 PM. Currently, I’m in pediatrics and don’t finish up until 6 PM.
12:00 PM Lunch can be sporadic on rotations, so I keep a protein bar or snack close by!
6 PM Pick up my daughter from school and drive home.
6:30-7:30 PM Arrive home. Dinner (meal prepped from the weekend) and homework with my daughter.
8:30 PM Bedtime for my girl and workout time for me!
9:30 PM Kitchen clean up, wash and fold a load of clothes, prep backpacks and lunches for the next day, and try to squeeze in some study time.
11:00-11:30 PM Bedtime for this tired mama!
